
This feature gets rid of the ~~ by your name when logging onto a server. Some servers you may visit will randomly boot you off if it picks up the ~ by your name.
Go to Tools, Ident Server.
The box that says Ident is the name you use in the EMAIL box in the login screen before the @
Shasta goes in the Ident Box.

Click active to put a check mark/
Close and thats it. It will not be active till you log off and back on again.
This feature catches and stores URL's that have been put on the screen by either yourself or someone else. The format for the url must be a full url for it to be caught here.
To set up WWW, Click on the WWW button.

CLICK on OPTIONS
Now all you have to do is the following steps:
To use a URL listed, CLICK on the URL and then CLICK on GOTO. That will take you to the referenced page, double clicking the url should take you there also.
The ADD feature is for manually adding a URL to your list. To do this CLICK on ADD (a little box will appear) then type in the URL that you wish to add then CLICK on OK.
The EDIT feature is to edit a URL already in your list. CLICK on EDIT (a little box will appear with the name of the URL that you wish to edit) Just make the changes as needed then CLICK on OK. You can copy the URL to play for someone else in the channel also.
The REMOVE feature allows you to remove any or all URLs in your list. You can do this by CLICKing on the URL that you wish to remove and then CLICK on REMOVE.
To close the screen, just CLICK on the little X in the upper RIGHT hand corner.
This feature is very useful. It will notify you when a certain nick becomes active on any IRC network you are currently logged on.
There is only a few easy steps for this to be enabled:
You see by the picture above that there are two sides of Favorites. The LEFT side has holders that will hold the different categories you wish to make for your channels. the RIGHT side holds the channels with in that category.
First thing you will want to do is make a new folder to store your favorite channels. You can make a folder for each net that you visit eg, Picard, ChatNet ect. Each should have a separate folder.
CLICK on ADD. This will make a folder for you in the LEFT side of the screen. Now type in Picard and hit the ENTER key.
Place your cursor over the RIGHT side of the screen and CLICK on ADD. This will bring up a new window CHANNEL PROPERTIES.
CLICK on CHANNEL and type in #10forward.
CLICK on DESC and type in http://www.hhinsight.com/~chat
CLICK OK
Now you are ready to join that channel when you are logged on to Picard. To Join a channel CLICK on FAVORITES then CLICK on the Folder of the net that you are on, Picard, then CLICK on #10forward and CLICK on JOIN. This will take you directly into our room.
To close the window, CLICK CLOSE.
The WHO feature within Favorites is a nice feature. With this you are able to see who is in the channel before you go into it. To use this feature CLICK on the channel that you want to see who is in it and then CLICK on WHO. The information will apprear in your server window.
The EDIT feature allows you to edit the folder name or a channel name with in a folder. To use EDIT follow the simple steps below:
The DELETE feature allows you to delete a folder or a channel. To use the delete feature, follow the steps below:
You may have as many folders as you like and as many channels within those folders as you require.
This feature can be used two different ways DRAG & DROP and DCC, depending on how you have your prefs set. DRAG & DROP is easier to use, but below shows both ways.
TO USE DCC FILE SEND:
To SEND someone a file (be it any type),
CLEAR is a key to to clear the list of files in the send window under the TO window. To use that just CLICK on CLEAR close out the window.
To set up for drag & drop, CLICK on PREFS then CLICK on DCC tap. Now CLICK on Use Drag & Drop as Default. This will put a check mark in the box next to it. CLICK on OK to save the settings.
NOTE: you can send wavs from the media player by dragging them and dropping them onto a persons nick.
DCC CHAT is a feature that allows you to talk with someone that is not in your channel.
To use DCC CHAT you first must know the Nick of the person that you want to chat with. Then there is only three steps to do:
That's all there is to it. You have to wait for the person to accept your chat then you may begin typing.
With PIRCH 32 you are
able to set up your own Bio to send to people. To do this CLICK on OPTIONS at the
top of the screen next to TOOLS and WINDOWS. Then LEFT CLICK on PERSONAL BIO. A
window will apprear.

First you will want to add any information about yourself that you would like other people to know about you. Please use caution in this, don't put information you do NOT want known, Example: phone numbers, address, Social Security Number, drivers license number.
You may add a picture of yourself as well, CLICK in the LEFT hand window (where is says CLICK TO ADD PICTURE) and load the picture file that you want to use. NOTE: The picture size should not exceed 100 pixels by 125 pixels.
Then CLICK on SAVE.
Now you can send that BIO.

To view bios sent to
you by other people, CLICK on TOOLS at the top of the screen next to Channel and
Options. Then CLICK on BIO VIEWER. This window looks the same as the PERSONAL BIO
we did above except for the box under the picture window.
Note the little arrow that points down. This will list any and all bios that you have in your PIRCH Folder when you CLICK on it.
CLICK on the bio that you wish to view and it will load it.
Pirch lets you personalize with colors for multiple events.
To get to COLORS, CLICK
on OPTIONS at the top of the screen next to Tools and Windows then CLICK on
COLORS.
This is a personal preference item, Be careful of setting your forground and background colors to the same color. Avoid WHITE as a text color, it makes it very difficult to chat with you when you can't read it on a white background.
This feature is nice, it saves having to move files from one directory to another.
To get to your
DOWNLOAD Extension MAP, CLICK on OPTIONS at the top of the screen next to Tools
and Windows and CLICK on DOWNLOAD Extension MAP. A new window will apprear on
your screen.

To ADD, CLICK
on ADD. You will see another box apprear on your screen.
Type in the extension that you want to create a path for.
Now the first thing that you are going to do is enter the type of Extension. Then enter the path. Then CLICK on OK. Repeat this process for every extension you wish to map.
Once you have them all entered, CLICK on ok, this will save your Extension Map. You may wish to edit one at anytime. You can do this by CLICKing once on the Extension that you wish to edit, then CLICK on EDIT.
You may have the need to DELETE an extension. You can do this by CLICKing on the extenstion that you wish to delete, then CLICK on DELETE. This will DELETE the extension...NOTE: once you hit delete it is gone, if you made a mistake you will have to reenter the information again.
When you are done adding, editing or deleting you extensions, CLICK on OK and everything is saved.
