Room Five

Hikuai School

New Zealand

Room Five went to Whangamata to do their Rocky shore Study. They travelled in cars with their parents. They had a barbecue tea and everyone slept the night at the surf club. Everyone went on a tramp to Pokohino Beach. The track was steep and it wound through bush. The beach was beautiful and it was shaded by pohutukawa trees. There was a strong Easterly wind blowing so no one had a swim. At the beach the children went on a scavenger hunt to find feathers, neptunes necklace, driftwood and other sea
treasures.

Here are the poems and art work the children did on return to school.
