OTHER INTRIGUING FACTS:

The nickname of "Stevie" is said to have come from the fact that she could not pronounce "Stephanie" as a small child.
Nicks' first band was The Changing Times. But in her senior year, Nicks and a few friends (including Lindsey Buckingham) formed a band called the Fritz Rabyne Memorial Band. During its run, Fritz opened for big names like Santana, Janis Joplin, and even Jimi Hendrix.
Buckingham Nicks, their first recording effort, bombed. It was quickly dropped by the label.
Lindsey Buckingham joined Fleetwood Mac at the end of 1974, but only on the condition that Nicks (his then-girlfriend) could be join as well. Together, they became the driving force behind the best-known incarnation of the group.
Since the marriage between Nicks and Anderson ended, the two have never spoken to each other. Anderson's son (born prematurely before his wife died) has not spoken to her either.
Nicks' song, "Silver Springs" was supposed to be on the Rumours album - one of the best-selling albums of all-time. However, it was cut from the album at the last minute. It did not make its big appearance until Fleetwood Mac reunited for The Dance in 1997.
