Jordan's JDMS Diary

July 2000

Well, I want you all to know that the diary is not the only thing I cant have time for. I'm a genealogy nut, craft nut, and Home and Garden show nut. I haven't been able to do any hobbies that I enjoy.

I've spent hours and hours searching for Jennifer's dorm needs. I somehow forgot the "picky" characteristic in my middle child. I hope the professors at the University of Texas at San Antonio are kind to her. She can really be a brat about certain things!

Jordan is doing wonderful. She attended a volleyball camp, tennis camp and a girl scout camp all in the same week. Each was about 2-4 hours long which filled her entire day. I was afraid she wouldnt be able to keep it up the whole week, but she did. She intends on playing basketball, volleyball, tennis and golf for her school. She's also in band and wants to be on the spirit squad. She's signed up for honors classes as well. Guess she wont have time to be bored! Joe and I suggested she take up golf incase she doesnt make the ball teams. Basketball is the most aggressive sport she wants to be in. Our only concern is that she smaller than most of the girls her age, she's not as strong and can't run as fast. Each sport is at a different time of the year, so maybe she can keep up. She needs the exercise to maintain and build her strength, so we're just going to take it one day at a time. Jennifer was very active in school sports and her footsteps would be hard for most young girls to follow. We hope Jordan is not disappointed.

Jordan's lab work still looks good. Hopefully her Dr. will start reducing the IV treatments. Jordan doesnt complain, but it hurts me. She is so brave to sit there week after week to let them stick her. The nurses are getting lots of practice on my little girl. She's a wonderful patient if I say so myself.

Thank you all for your prayers. I know they are being heard. God bless you all!
