1. How old are The Donnas? The Donnas are all High School graduates from Palo Alto High School... Donna R. is 23 as of August 26th 2002 while Donna F. and Donna C. are 24 as of January 8th 2002. Donna A. turns 24 on May 30th 2002. So, right now they are all 23.

2. Do you know The Donnas? Let's just say I am very very very blessed. When The DonnAttack!! was born, however, I was blessed because I am happy, have a great home life and am healthy, but I wasn't blessed in the way that I am now. Does that help? 3. Are they all really named 'Donna'? It depends who you ask. According to me, our sweet Donnas have the same name, but go by other names... now, The Electrocutes on the other hand, DO have different names... for more info on the name thing you should check out my individual mini-bios on The Donnas - The 50ft. Donnas!

4. Where are The Donnas from? Originally, Donna A. is from Bloomington, Indiana, Donna R. is from Los Angeles, CA, Donna C. is from San Francisco, CA
and Donna F. is from Berkeley, CA. But if you mean where did they live a majority of the time and actually MEET and gave to birth to The Donnas... well, that was no other than Palo Alto, CA. If you haven't figured it out; they all moved to the now-infamous Palo Alto, CA at one point.
Well Done!
5. Do they have an official website? Yes! As of November 16th 2000, The Donnas Official Website (www.thedonnas.com) has been debuted. Visit it - it rocks just like The Donnas do!!! You can also check out Atlantic Records page about The Donnas (kinda bare bones, but up to date...)here: www.atlanticrecords.com/thedonnas. The next closest to an official website for now would be the one on their former label, Lookout! Records under "The Donnas". It's a nice page with merch... look around on there at the reviews for the one I wrote about the 7/9/99 show! It's OFFICIAL!!
Well Done!
6. Where can I write to them at? You can write to The Donnas at their official fan mail address:
The Donnas 6.5.0. Hotbox
P.O. Box 50474
Palo Alto, CA 94303-0474
Secret inside scoop: Chances are good when you write them - I've heard of a lot of fans getting a reply personally from one of The Donnas. It doesn't happen overnight though - but it happens... don't take MY word for it though... take Wayne's!

7. What happened to their Donna shirts? I really loved them! Well, the shirts started out as a silly gimmick at first - then people started getting obsessed with them. Donna R has said (now, don't quote me on this because I don't know the exact words) that they don't wear them anymore just to tick reporters and other 'important' people off. HAHA! Personally, I think they just grew out of that idea and would rather be themselves. Anyway, aren't the black rhinestoned shirts Donna shirts on the cover of Get Skintight enough for you? Tsk tsk, you picky person, you!
Well Done!
8. How many albums do The Donnas have? Well this is a tad more complicated than it seems. You see, The Donnas have also been Ragady Anne AND The Electrocutes. So in ALL, The BAND MEMBERS have six full legnth albums - but The Donnas only have four - The Donnas, American Teenage Rock 'N' Roll Machine, Get Skintightand their most recent, Turn 21. The Electrocutes released one album, Steal Yer Lunch Money and Ragady Anne has one album as well that is self titled. Of course, The Donnas have songs on ENDLESS album compliations and movie soundtracks, but we won't get into that... since it gets even MORE complicated. Just check out the DonnaDiscography. So there you have it.

9. Have the members of The Donnas been in other bands? If you've already read the question above, then you already know what I'm about to say. But if you've got a lazy finger and just wanna read w/o scrolling, continue! The members of The Donnas have been in three other bands, but all under the same names. In chronological order they are: Screen, Ragady Anne, The Electrocutes, and of course - The Donnas! As far as side projects or guest appearances, Donna R. played as temporary rhythm guitarist with The Plus Ones for their tour in October/November 2000.

10. Do The Donnas have any music videos? Yes!! They have three videos. One for "Skintight" and one for their KISS cover, "Strutter". The "Skintight" video isn't avaliable for sale, unless you copy it onto video when you see it played on MTV (yeah... if they EVER play it again) or request it on The Box and wait ALL DAY for it. The "Strutter" video you can find on the Detriot Rock City DVD - NOT THE VIDEO. It's a special feature and I believe there is a copyright protection thingy (aren't I articulate?) on it so that you can't copy it onto video. You can also find that on KISSonline.com. And as of January 13, 2000, The Donnas have shot their video for their 'Turn 21' single, 40 Boys in 40 Nights. September 28, 2k2 The Donnas filmed a video for Take It Off that HAS aired on MTV and MuchMusic!!!!!!!! It should be streaming on their website soon, but check out VH1.com which is already. YAY! The end.

11. Where did you learn how to make a webpage? Well, I first got ahold of AOLpress (a template editor that AOL offered me way back in the day) and I just studied the HTML when I worked on something because all the tags were color coded - and then I'd screw with them and see what worked. After I got sick of that program, I just opted for the web and viewed sources of pages and read a few tutorials on HTML like HTML Goodies.com. I learned tables and javascript manipulation and took it from there... and ta da! The DonnAttack!! was born.

12. How long has The DonnAttack!! been online? Hmmm... I would say since September 1999, but I didn't start getting any hits at ALL until about early December 1999. Since then though, it's expanded considerably. It used to be just one page!! Imagine that... =)

13. Who's Darin Raffaelli? Darin Raffaelli is the guy who basically molded The Donnas. Now, don't get me wrong. He only gave them their start - but not their talent. Here's how it goes. He owned an independent record label named Super*Teem!. He approached The Donnas after seeing them perform as The Electrocutes and asked them if they would record some songs he'd written for his 'ultimate girl band'. So The Donnas agreed - and took up the psudonames "Donna A.", "Donna C.", "Donna F." and "Donna R.", picking up the name from the McDONAlds name so they could separate the two bands completley. On they went and recorded the self-titled "The Donnas" cd signed with Raffaelli's label. Soon popularity grew with The Donnas, and The Electrocutes weren't really doing anything, so the members decided to merge the two bands together. Short after, people started to learn about Darin and rumored that The Donnas couldn't write their own songs - which isn't true, they were already in 3 writing bands before The Donnas - so they decided after much deliberation to drop Raffaelli and prove that they could make it on their own. And they sure as hell did.

14. Why doesn't MTV ever play The Donnas? That's a question I ask myself every day, but looks like things are changing... The Donnas have been played a few times - and if you go to MTV.com and check in the archives for The Donnas, you'll find a nice archived page with one interview, some live clips, and a press interview about when The Donnas released the Strutter/Detroit Rock City 7" with KISS... and other up to date stuff circa. Atlantic Records. As far as playing their videos, sometimes laaaate at night you *might* catch "Skintight" and on M2, "40 Boys in 40 Nights" but I doubt it although Courtney Love aired "Skintight" when he just recently had her M2 "24 Hours of Love" stint. MTV just gives the public what they want so they can get good ratings and unfortunatley, the public wants N*SYNC. Consider yourself lucky that they aren't played on there for now - because that way, you can meet your heros after the show at a small venue. See? There's always a brighter side. But, I see it happening soon.

15. Why don't you have any Donnas gossip on this page? Because - this isn't a Donnas gossip page. It's a fan page, about their music and how great The Donnas make us feel. Not about who they're dating or who they're not - or who they don't like etc. The DonnAttack!! is a fan resource for all that's plentily Donna. So if you're looking for gossip on The Donnas wait a few years till they're superstars and buy National Enquirer. You'll never find anything like that here - promise.

16. Why don't you have an image gallery on your page? Everyone else does. First and foremost; because everyone else does. Secondly, I don't have enough webspace right now for all these pictures to just sit on a page for people to stare at. Next, we all know how The Donnas look, so it seems a little silly to me. And also, I don't want to spend my time scanning in pictures in an image gallery for greedy websurfers to steal and put on their own pages. And I don't want to have to deal with typing my name all over the image, because that just screws up the image and doesn't make it look cool anymore. If you don't have a scanner, ask a friend or soemthing - I just don't think it's fair to steal. Plus usually the thief takes credit for the original images and that's REALLY uncool. I just don't believe in it. If you'd like to use an image on my site, just e-mail me and ask indicating what image you want to use and what the page it's on is called. Please don't try to steal from me - I have no life and surf the web all the time; I'll find your page eventually and take you up on it. Plus, I work really hard on all the images I have and it hurts my feelings. Anyway, chances are slim that you'll find an image gallery on this webpage. Live pictures I will probably post with discretion, but otherwise don't hold your breath. I'm not doing your work for you.

17. What band is The Donnas' greatest influence? Well, there are soooo many different influences that The Donnas posess together, but from what I've read in interviews, I know they all agree on one thing; KISS is the one band they collectivly have in common as a favorite. So, overall I (just a personal opinion, but based on truth) would say that KISS is their greatest influence.

18. Why don't you have more on this site? I don't have more because there are a lotta things I need to do to The DonnAttack!! and there's just one of me. Considering this site started off as one single page, I've accomplished a lot (like dissolving my social life to contribute all my thought to this page!! hehe) so far. But I assure you, it's always on the up and up and there's always something brewing here. Don't worry - I won't let you down.

19. Who runs this site, anyway? 'Tis I, Miss Ginger that runs this site - and I alone, with a few odds and ends contributed by beloved website and Donnas enthusiests. If you'd like to contact me, here's my e-mail: QweenA1ice@aol.com Or perhaps you'd like to know a little more about me OTHER than my outrageously obsessive fixation with The Donnas. If that's the case, check out my not-so-cool-kinda-slow-loading page, And About Miss Ginger...!

20. Why are you so obsessed with The Donnas? I'm sure if you're a huge Donnas fan, you wouldn't be asking this question - you already know how it feels. But for those of you who don't - it's just something that consumes you whole. And it pulls you in further... The Donnas aren't just a band - they're an experience. You not only get great rock, but you get homage to 80's glam rock, 4 wonderful ladies to learn about AND a whole load of awesome fans to get to know. It's ALL about the donnalove. To find out how I fell in love with the Donnas, check out my "The Obsession Is Born - How I fell in love with The Donnas" page. It's quite interesting... if you don't mind an epoch.

21. Why haven't The Donnas been to MY hometown yet? This question depends on where YOU live. If you're in like NowhereVille, SD then you're basically screwed, and I'm sure you're used to that. Bands just hit fairly large towns - and their original hometown, of course. I apologize for the absence of The Donnas in your life. But for now you must be willing to travel, because they have to get really big - like KISS big - to get to as many places as they 'should' be. Plus, you gotta remember - they're four girls, not mass products from monopolozing companies! Hopefully The Donnas will visit you sometime soon - I hope they DO, because you'll get a chance to meet them and see how wonderful it is to be a fan of theirs. Just the way they treat you makes up for every penny you will ever spend at their concert... or every roll of film *hangs her head*. But just wait, if you listen... they will come. Of course, remember what I said about NowhereVille, SD.

22. Can I stop these infernal midis from playing on your webpages? Now see here, you're just getting picky. I work HARD on this site, must you complain about everything?? Ok now that I've let out some steam - no. You can't stop the midi unless you turn your speakers off - OR - unless you have Crescendo. It's this little midi player amp thing, and you can manipulate the midis on ANY page. The basic player is free, and it works with all pages and midis. All it is really is a plug-in for your browser, and it's really small in size too. I recommend it, personally. I LOVE midis (in case you couldn't tell...) because I feel they add character to a page. I've also heard that simply pressing the 'stop' button in your browser bar works. Anyway - there's your tips, may the force be with you.

23. Why don't some images on your site load? Some images don't load because the page has a long loading time, and sometimes it can't handle loading them all at once. Just right click on the image and select "show picture" or something to that effect, depending on which browser you have, and voila! It should load. If it doesn't, just e-mail me, and tell me what page the image is on, and I'll be sure to look into it! I keep the site pretty well maintained though, and I really hope you're just browsing through these questions and that it isn't your problem!! If it is - I'm so sorry!

24. Was that The Donnas that I saw in those movies? Probably. The Donnas have had 2 appearances in movies. In Jawbreaker starring Rose McGowan and Rebecca Gayheart, The Donnas played the prom band in one of the last scenes of the movie. They played Rock And Roll Machine and (don't take me on this) I believe Checkin' It Out. They were also in Drive Me Crazy starring Melissa Joan Hart, playing The Electrocutes (yes, former Donnas), a band that one of the characters loved and shot a music video for. They were also at the grand dance scene nearing the end of the movie, and performed Keep On Loving You. Our Donnas, as I'm sure you know, shined in both films, and are now found on IMDB.com because of it!

25. Is this FAQ completed? No way, man! I've got things to add and subtract, to fix and update for the future and everything! People always write to me and ask me questions, so just keep it up! I don't mind answering, The Donnas are my favorite hobby!!!
Well Done!
26. How often is The DonnAttack!! updated? This site is updated as frequently as possible. Virtually everyday. I check my mail, the messageboard and the guestbook every day and I also surf the site occasionally to make sure everything is running well. I can't promise daily update much, but the site IS consantly monitered, and is NEVER not updated or maintained for over a week. Feel better now? ;)
