Is Dedicated In Honor And To The Memory of
Actor James Stewart
"You Can't Take It With You"
We salute this giant in motion pictures for his unique role in the 1938 film where he played the son of the president of a development company. During the scene where he proposed marriage to his future fiance, he indicated his life-long goal was to discover how to harness the energy of the sun for use here on earth. The movie gently revealed the stark dilemma we find when we come face-to-face as the pendulum swings to extremes from the human need for quality of life to the often senseless corruption and insensitivity of an overzealous commerce. Jimmy Stewart played many interesting roles throughout his prolific career. Through his many familiar characters, he befriended us and took us from tears to laughter as he compelled us to view with him many unspoken facets of the human condition and the world in which we live. The 1998 Orange County Million Solar Rooftops In USA 1997-2010 Solar Winter Gala honors James Stewart as a priceless role model through his eloquent portrayals of our struggles within the human condition wherein we find the importance of values, decency and fair play most people strive for in their daily lives.
