Abnaa ElRosol Family
Abnaa ElRosol family was founded at the start
of summer 1986, and began with 45 children.

The family specialized in presenting musicals,
and by 1997, the choir managed to present 10 musicals,and doubledits members
to 95 persons.
Those members make work groups of
singers, actors, setting designers,management
etc..
Up till 1995 the choir performed its works
during theNeirouz festivals,which are held annually by the churches
of Cairo committee, under the care of His Holiness Father Mousa,youth’s
Bishop, and the organization of Mr. Safwat Rushdi..

As well as that, performances were held on
the stage of St. Mina’s church of Fleming, Alexandria. As well as the churches
of the Virgin Mary Monastery, Gabal AlTeir, Samalout, Elmenia.
However, since 1996, the choir expanded and
began performing its own private shows. The start was with the musical
of “The life of H.H. Pope Cyrill VI” which was performed on the stage of
the “De La Salle” school, AlDaher, and gained the approval of all attendants....

to reach Copts in the immigrate lands.

On 1997, the choir started it’s first
performances
abroad, with the aim and again, gained the approval of all Copt audiencein
London. This approval led the Copts of London to invite the choir to participate
in their Neirouz celebrations at St. Mark’s church, London. As well as
in the opening of the Thelogical College at Stevenage on 12th
Sept 1997.Having said all that, the choir now prepares itself for the 1998
musical, titled “The History of the Coptic Church”. Its performances will
be as follows;

Noting all the achievements of the choir,
it is worth mentioning that during the first years of the choir, the family
was under the care of Father Youhana Eskandar
till 1990. And from 1991 till this date, under the care and guidance of
Father Sergious Sergious.
Moreover, the Family could never forget the
writer of its lyrics, whose choice of simple but deep words, reached the
hearts of all audience swiftly and effectively. He is our beloved, Father
Semaan ElSheikh, God rest his soul, to whom we dedicate all our services,
asking for his prayers to the Lord for us.
