Square Face Shape

Sleek, straight, close to the head works well when the front falls below the jaw and the back is graduated.

Use a round brush to create volume, then fingerstyle to finish.

A square face tends to have a strong jawline and a wide, squared-off forehead. To soften the angular jawline, cuts that are below the chin work the best . You might think that bangs would make a square face look even more so, but not when they're cut into feathery chunks and sides are brought forward to create soft wisps. Lots of layers provide styling versatility and let you add height on top that looks entirely natural.

Don't- Wearing the wrong style on a square-shaped face can sometimes make a cut look too masculine. Cuts with sharp angles and longer layers will only accentuate the strong jawline. Try bangs and side part to help soften the look.
