This lace vest was inspired by Jenny Haskins' Creative Embroidery by Machine magazine, Vol.1, No. 2. The trim and doily were purchased. Most of the laces on the front are various ones from Criswell Embroidery and Design . Some were stitched directly on the vest, and others were added after embroidering. I purchased English netting and thread from Thread Artist .

The vest won 3rd place at MEEC in the Heirloom category.  That was a nice honor.  It was also featured in an article I wrote for Embroidery Journal, January 2003 issue .

On the back I used designs from Jim Suzio's new lace collection. They stitched out perfectly on the netting using Badgemaster as my stabilizer.  Once completed, I coffee-dyed the entire vest so that most of the laces and trims would match.
