I have also furnished a link to this clever pillow on my Instructions page. Thanks, Barb, for the clear, concise instructions and the poem.

For this Toothfairy/Ringbearer Pillow, I began following the directions out of "Sulky Secrets to Stabilizing," page 132. I did the stitching, then since I was doing this on batiste, it was too simple for a wedding, so using the same stitches along with the entredeux stitch I made a case for a 12x12 pillow form. I proceeded to do both front and back pieces. Time consuming but easy! There is a lace ruffle around the pillow.

The handle on the back for the ring boy was done as follows. Cut a 4x6strip of pillow fabric. To give it strength I ironed in a heavy interfacing. Sew the long ends together to form a tube, turn inside out, and press having the seam in the center. Bring the two short ends together, stitch to form ring. Place on the back pillow piece and make two rows of stitches about two inches apart to hold on. Finish constructing pillow.

The tooth applique was a free design from Teri Sullivan's Sew Teri-fic site. I finished the edges and used "Aleene's Tack -It over and over" avoiding the very top part of the design so that it is a pocket.

The heart applique for the ring bearer was store bought but applied the same way.

The poem, which I am not the author of, was found on the web. This I did in a print shop program which had a baby announcement that I edited to use the text with the poem. I printed this out on green parchment paper then under cut it so that when placed on a note card it had a border.

Pillow So Sweet

A little heart pillow for baby so sweet,

To hang or sit makes the nursery complete.

And when baby's teeth one by one start to lose,

they'll be safe in the pocket for fairy to choose.

Then far in the future on that special wedding day,

the little pillow again will come into play.

A heart for their love, something old, something blue.

The rings in the pocket,

to bind their love true.
