2006

This amazing year has been filled with joy and many new beginnings. From the marriages of two friends to the births of babies to several friends, we are thankful for so much. With the birth of our first child, Kendall Jane, we have been blessed with the privilege of entering the journey of parenthood. We praise God for a daughter who is curious, fun-loving, smart and makes us laugh every day.

Our Wedding

New York came to us this December. Although we didn't travel to the northeast this year, we were still able to visit with our friends, Char & Sherman.

Amanda and Jennifer indulge in a much needed visit to the Lake House Spa.

Congratulations to new parents Patrick & Caroline on the birth of their daughter, Victoria, in September and to John & Emay on the birth of their daughter, Rachel, in November.

Texas' loss is Arizona's gain as Peggy, Paul and Jacob prepare to move. We'll miss you all!

We took our first family vacation this September to San Antonio.  We had a relaxing time of shopping, strolling and seeing the sights.

We spent the Thanksgiving Holidays at home this year and had a good time with extended visits from Jennifer's entire family and Brian's parents.

This September, Phillip Peter enters the world

Congratulations, Julia and Oliver!

A Shower for Baby Yeng

It was wonderful to see John and Emay as they prepare for Baby Yeng's arrival.

In August, our parents hosted a traditional Red Egg party to celebrate the birth of our daughter, Kendall.

Thanks to both our Moms and Dads for honoring our child.

Happy Birthday, Tiff

Tiff's birthday came twice this year (both times with yummy food.)

A Baby Shower for Julia

Galveston

We visited with some of Jennifer's cousins who spent part of their summer vacation at the beach. Kendall met three more of her cousins including Alessi who we were all able to meet for the first time.

Wedding bells ring for James & Karen

Brian was honored to serve as James' best man and Jennifer in the couples' house party during the beautiful and memorable wedding weekend.  Kendall was even able to attend part of the reception and congratulate them herself.  We are so happy for the new couple!

Bon Voyage to Ling

Moving Day

After a long wait, the time had finally come to close on and move into our new home. Thanks to our parents, sisters, some friends and handy movers who helped us make it a smooth transition.

Before Baby Makes Three

Along with getting last minute preparations together for Baby's upcoming arrival, we've been hanging out with friends and family, going on dates and even attended a concert performed by international pianist Lang Lang. We also welcomed Andrew Wong into the outside world to happy parents, Mike & Sharon.

We have a girl!

Our beautiful daughter, Kendall Jane, is born to us.

Karen's Bridal Shower

Showered with Love

This February,  we were honored by family and friends who hosted showers to help us welcome and prepare for the arrival of Baby Gee. Each was a special time to celebrate Baby-to-be with loved ones.

Houston ~ Austin ~ Houston (again!)

Brian's co-workers threw a lunch in honor of Baby Gee, too!

Hawaii was the destination for our  "babymoon" before Baby arrives.  We relaxed on the beautiful  islands of Maui and Kauai and visited with some of Brian's relatives in Honolulu.  Our trip fell during whale watching season, so we saw humpbacks frolicking in the warm Hawaiian waters and soaked in some of the most stunning views, scenery and waterfalls we could have ever imagined. On the way back home, we extended our layover in L.A. to visit with a couple old friends.

Happy 2006!

Horns are #1!  What a night to remember as we watch the Horns win the National Championship at the Rose Bowl!  The orange lit tower never looked so beautiful.  We couldn't have asked for a better way to celebrate our anniversary :) Go Horns!
