Rambles and waffles - things I am very good at! | ||||||
Entry for December 1, 2006
You know, this Blog'll never have a photo because I'm always in comp labs waiting for either Karen or Verity to finish so there are never any photos to upload. Plus, you knnow, it's kind of hard to find a theme that fits total boredom accompanied with slight hunger.
This, by the way, is all written by Karen as I went to check her and Verity's computer programs. I'm leaving it in here because it's strange, especially as it's a take on how she thinks I am: I like the word flobalob and do believe that it should be entered in to the english dictionary as it does make more sense than britnification which is clearly just made up. On a scale of one to ten, eleven is my favourite number because I like the symmetry. I also believe that all mondays should be turned into a national holiday to celebrate surviving the weekend and the ensuing hangover. If that isn't possible, then monday should be removed from the week as it is a horrible day that only serves to depress people. Back to me again, although I've sort of lost the drive to write anything because I got confused over Verity's program and then loudly announced to the entire room that people who use text message speak in emails should be shot. One of the lecturers gave me a funny look at that. But they should be. It's just a little effort. It's not really that surprising. After all, I get annoyed when people use text speak in text messages. Mine have NO abbreviations (of common words, not companies mind you) and perfect grammer. I get stomach pains whenever I need to change some things to fit in one text message. I am sad. Or a geek, I'm not too sure. I was always under the impression that geeks were sciency. So what's the proper description for a literary geek? Interesting. I'll have to think about that some more - maybe watch some american sit-com of some description. Although I get the impression that writers don't get the geek, avoid them treatment. You know, this is a very strange keyboard. It's not as if all the keys are in the wrong place: just a few of them. For example, the control and Caps Lock keys have been switched around, as has the loacation of @ and ". I've been getting extremely confused when trying to write my program and @ have been popping up. And you know how the Esc key is next to all the F1, F2 etc keys? Well, it's been moveddown next to the normal 1,2 etc numbers. The |\ key that's usually there has joined the ~` key where the backspace should be and so I'm adding crap, random symbols on to words and equations I should be deleting. It is SOOO annoying. And, once more, I am cementing my position as a total geek. I'm gonna go now, because Karen's waiting for netball instead of going home first and Verity... well, she doesn't live with me, so I'm going to go now. Bye! 2006-12-01 12:44:52 GMT
