Boulder is nestled at the foot of the Rocky Mountains. When we lived there, the mountains started about four blocks from our home. We could see horses grazing the sides of the hills. Also deer would come down from the mountains into our yard. The University of Colorado is located in Boulder, home of the Colorado Buffaloes. Also located in Boulder is the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR). It is on a bluff south of town in a beautiful location. You can go up there in the evening and see deer all around the meadows.

The National Bureau of Standards is also located in Boulder.

Jane and I lived in Boulder for a good many years before moving to Arizona. Jane graduated from the State Preparatory School there. It was disbanded in 1937 when they built the Boulder High School. We go to Boulder each summer to a "Prep" reunion. They include every class that ever attended the "Prep" school. There are some people in attendance that graduated in the class of 1927.

We usually go to Boulder at least twice during the summer. When we stay overnight, it is at the Golden Buff Motel.
