My Prayer
Closet
"When you pray, enter into
your closet, and when you have shut the door, pray to the
Father which is in secret; and the Father which seeth in secret shall reward
you openly." Matthew 6:6
" Be anxious for nothing: but in every
thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be
made known unto God" (Philippians 4:6)
I believe that prayer mixed with faith is the answer to everything. Pray
about everything--and give thanks that your requests will be heard and
answered. We need to pray as our FIRST option, not after we have tried
everything else in vain. Despair sometimes sets in when we do not go into
the secret place and unburden our souls and cry out our sorrows
to Him.
God is pleased when we run to Him first, when we make special time to be alone with Him, pour out our innermost feelings, love Him and lay before Him all our petitions. He will hear your prayers and He will answer--but He needs you alone so He can speak to you in a quiet moment.
THE HOUSE OF PRAYER
The House of Prayer is no farther away
Than the quiet spot where you kneel and pray.
For the heart is a temple when God is there
As you place yourself in His Loving Care
God hears the cries and sees the tears of his children and answers them with tender love. Your answers may not come overnight but God will do His work in His time and His way. Our part is to believe that He is faithful to answer....because we ARE His beloved children.
Hand-In-Hand
I have a friend who always hears each prayer that I pray,
And walks in silence with me each step along life's way.
He never fails to confort me when things don't turn out right,
And I can always count on Him in day, or darkest night.
His hand is always there in mine to guide me lest I stray,
To pick me up if I should fall and help me find my way.
He quiets every aching, every sorrow in my breast,
He takes each fear and hurt away and tells me what is best.
And every day that dawns for me is just the way He planned.
Down life's path together with Jesus, hand-in-hand.

Daily Prayers Dissolve Your Cares
I meet God in the morning and go with Him through the day,
Then in the stillness of night before sleep comes I pray,
That God will just "take over" all the problems I couldn't solve
And in the peacefulness of sleep, my cares will all dissolve.
So when I open up my eyes to greet another day,
I'll find myself renewed in strength, and there'll open up a way
To meet what seemed impossible for me to solve alone,
And once again I'll be assured I am never "on my own"...
For if we try to stand alone, we are weak amd we will fall,
For God is always Greatest when we're helpless, lost and small,
And no day is unmeetable if on rising, our first thought
Is to thank God for the blessings that His loving care has brought.
