When i was 7 years old my family had a cocker spaniel and his name was kiami, He was a very good dog and we fell in love with him when we picked him out at the pet store. He peed on my moms hand and that was how we knew that he was our dog. Kiami went thr ugh a lot. On my 8th birthday we had a party on the fourth of july and he was hit by a car and was in pretty bad shape but we got him all healed up and better. A year later we went on a camping trip on the 4th of July and left our neighbor to feed and wat r him. Well she did so but she didn't untangle him from around the tree and he couldn't get to his water. When we came home he was in real bad shape and wasn't going to live and we had no choice but to put him down. Ever since then i have promised myself hat when i get older i will get another cocker and name him Kiami. So when i turn 22 yrs old i will be looking. I was browsing the web for smooth fox terriers.I have thoughts of purchasing one to show as I can no longer show my cockers, Twenty years later my knees decided to say no more running with my cockers. Nice to see some real good dogs. I think the lack of fronts and angulation is the major problem at this time. But I must say you're on the right way. Very nice site :o) We are hoping to breed our cocker some day. She seems like she would be a real good mom. She's been wonderful to the kids, but kinda a pain with her frequent barking, and piddling. It also takes her forever and a day to decide to go pee which is hard when you have young children. I've been looking around to learn more info, and I'm glad I found your site. She also has no discipline..she can sit for about 2seconds.
