George Christopher, or Christy as he was known, was born to Christopher and Nancy McCormick on 12 February 1859 in Putnam County, TN. Winnie Catherine was born to Reuben and Mary Livingston on 21 January 1868 in Overton County, Tennessee. They always told their children and grandchildren that they met at a grandfather's funeral. Since Winnie wasn't born when Tench was killed, this must have been George's funeral in December 1873. According to the two of them it was love at first sight, but Winnie must have been quite a young lady to charm a 14 year old boy when she was only 7! They married on 24 November 1887, and went on to have 12 children. Christy died 20 June 1928, and Winnie died on 19 January 1951. They are buried together in the Algood Cemetery in Putnam County, Tennessee.
