I woke up to find
You crying
A sight I could never
I could never understand
How a person so wonderful
As you
Could be so sad
So sad as you were
I asked you what was wrong
You replied
Nothing was the matter
Nothing at all
I knew this was not true
So I
Asked and asked again
Asked again why you cried
You told me you were ugly
The look
The look on my face
Was of shock and disbelief
Why could you not see
What I
What I saw in you
What others saw as well
How could I convince you
Of truth
The truth about you
That you are beautiful
Beautiful on the inside
And outside
Not ugly, not disgusting
Not disgusting at all
What was God thinking
When God
Made you so wonderful
Yet so unable to see
Let me be your eyes
So that
So that you will see
How beautiful you are to me
