Please don't sing sad songs for me, Forget your grief and fears, For I am in a perfect place, Away from pain and tears. I'm far away from hunger And hurt and want and pride, I have a place in Heaven With the Master at my side My life on earth was very good, As earthly lives can go, But Paradise is so much more Than anyone can know. My heart is filled with happiness And sweet rejoicing, too. To walk with God is perfect peace, A joy forever new ![]() I am writing this to thank you for all the wonderful things you have done for me, the lessons you have taught me, the love you have shown me, for always being there when I needed you, for guiding me in the right direction yet letting me still be myself. You have instilled in me the values of family life. You taught me to be a caring person. How to take the time to enjoy the smell of falling rain, the beauty of a rainbow, the song of a singing bird, the beauty of a flower. You taught me not to judge any person because of his race or religion. Never to judge a person until you know them, and most important that hate is a very strong word. That it is OK to dislike someone but never say you hate them, as everyone has a good side if you look hard enough to find it. I know that I was not always the perfect daughter, but today I realize that if it wasn't for those times I would not have learned all the lessons there was to be taught. I didn't realize at the time I was growing up just how much you gave of yourself. Little things you did that I took for granted. Like caring enough to get involed in my life. Becoming a Brownie leader so I could join, then moving up to the Girl Scouts with me. The camping trips you took the girls on, because the other Mothers were all to busy. Taking in ironings so I could join a soroity in high school, and have a new dress to wear to the prom. Today I want to thank you for all those things I took for granted. I still say please and thank you. Always to be polite was another virtue you instilled upon me. The one thing that you tried so hard to teach me was to share my feelings with other people. Although I tried, this one was hard to do. The feelings were always there and I hope my actions showed them. I never had a way with words, but I'm still working on that. As my Mothers Days tribute to you I am doing just that. I'm sharing my feelings for you with the world. I want everyone to know what a wonderful Mother I have, Mom I love you and I am so very proud that you are my Mom. I know that you have passed on to a more devine and peaceful place, and that I no longer can tell you all of this in person. But I know you are still my special angel watching over me. I miss you very much, although you are no longer here in body you will always live in my heart. ![]() ![]() ![]() Mother Day Verses Mothers Day Holiday Index ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
