March of The Cameron
There's many a man of the Cameron Clan

That has followed his chief to the field

He has sworn to support him or die by his side

For a Cameron never can yield.

I hear the pibroch sounding,

sounding deep o'er the mountain and glen

While light springing footsteps are trampling the heath

'Tis the march of the Cameron men.

'Tis the march, 'tis the march,

'Tis the march of the Cameron men.

Oh, proudly they walk, but each Cameron knows

He may tread on the heather no more

But boldly he follows his chief to the field

Where his laurels were gathered before.

The moon has arisen, it shines on the path

Now trod by the gallant and true

High, high are their hopes, for their chieftain has said

That whatever men dare, they can do.

SEARCHING FOR DANMER!

Danmur(Danmer) Colin CAMERON
Born in 1845 on a ship sailing from England to Canada.
Parents - unknown - but an old story that was handed down from several people goes, Danmer's father was "Red" Cameron" who married a DOUGLAS. He a ships captain and sailed to Canada with his family on a British ship. I have found nothing to prove this yet.
Danmer came to the U.S. at the age of 15 (information from census)
Naturalized in 1880?(census) in Washington State, Klicitat Co.
Danmer married Eva (Evelyn?)CLOW in 1879. (Oregon marriage records.)
He worked in timber and mining in Oregon and Washington.(1879 - 1920)
Four children born to Dan and Eva:
John Cosner CAMERON b.1879 - Married Myrtle Dungey (could John be Danmer's father name?)
Royal Danmer CAMERON b.1880 - Married Edith Dungey (second son has fathers name)
Effie Belle CAMERON b. 1883 - Married Victor Birdseye
Queene CAMERON b.1885 - ( 2 children have "royal" names....Could Douglas be the grandmothers maiden name and somehow related to Mary Queen of Scots in a very round about way?)>
I would welcome any suggestions or information if anyone can help. Thanks
