Page 2, Photos of the Kubalek family in the US
All photos on this page except the colored ones at the bottom are courtesy of Martha (Simanovsky) Vanourny, daughter of Barbara (Kubalek) Simanovsky. She graciously loaned me her family photo album so that I could scan the Kubalek photos from it. Thank you so much, Martha!

Another visit from the Francl Family, 2003
Tina Francl was the oldest of the Kubalek girls, and her children were about the same age as the youngest of the Kubalek siblings. In the summer of 2003 Tina's daughter Lillian (Francl) Losser, came from Wisconsin to visit her Aunt Blanche (Kubalek) Evans at Clutier, Iowa. Lillian had not seen Blanche since they were both girls, and she wanted to meet her one more time in her life. Lillian's daughter, Beverly Kotulski, granddaughter, Colleen Burtard, and great-grandchildren Shayleen, Kassidy and Talen Burtard, accompanied her on the trip. Lillian's cousin, Lillian Horak (daughter of Fannie Kubalek Pelisek) and son and daughter-in-law, Don and Barb Horak from Cedar Rapids, Iowa came along on the visit to Clutier. They all talked and shared photos and memories in Blanche's home, and then drove out in the country to visit the Kubalek graves in Holy Trinity Cemetery. At the time of the visit, Blanche Evans was 88, Lillian Losser was 87, and Lillian Horak was 82. It was a great day! Lillian Losser passed away on January 2, 2006.
