A
Teacher
Takes a hand, Opens a mind, and Touches a
heart !
Teacher (te'cher)
n. mentor, enabler, facilitator,
awakener, advocate,
inspirational resource.
I was born in
New Orleans,
Louisiana, and grew up while traveling around the world with my
father. He was an Army career officer, and I was an Army "brat"
:-) I have traveled to many places, around the world. I lived and
attended DOD schools in Geissen and
Augsburg, Germany. A couple of my most memorable
trips, while we lived overseas, were the Worlds Fair in Brussels, Belgium,
and the Girl Scout Chalet in Switzerland.... And how can I not mention our
trip to Denmark, and the home of Hans Christian Andersen, my favorite author
at the time!!
For all those other "brats" :-) out there, you might want to check out ...
I have lived, or visited, in most states across the good 'ole
USA! A couple of my favorite places -- the Mississippi Gulf Coast, and,
of course, NOLA!!

I wanted to be a teacher for as long as
I can remember. With that goal in mind, I entered Indiana University Southeast
in 1966. I graduated and began my teaching career in November 1970. I received
a Masters Degree in Elementary Education in 1975. I have 30+ postgraduate
hours, with an endorsement in Computer Education from Purdue University.
I taught for the Greater Clark County School System in Indiana
for 33 years. In 2003 I made the difficult decision to retire my grade
book! I felt it was time to move on and pursue other interests. One of those is
traveling!
