I spent a great deal of my childhood traveling with my father while he was on buisness. Many of the places that I feature in my tours, are actually places I have spent time at myself.
The rest are ones that I hope to take my own children
to one day.
I am an almost typical homemaker, though I really do
prefer the term "domestic goddess".
I have 4 children, 3
girls and a boy.
(Guess what daddy wanted?)
They are Melissa (named that because when I was pregnant the first
time, I really wanted a girl and kept calling my stomach
Missy).
Amanda (named after Spock's mom on Star
Trek), who is sure she is the reincarnation of middle child...Jan Brady.
And Megan
(who was named for the little girl who Megan's Law is
dedicated to, because it was on the news 24 hours a day while I was in labor with her and we were expecting a boy.
My son's name is Wesley Kahler (my
mother's maiden name and mine, I figured the women should
get credit somewhere.)
Wes was
born with a cleft palate and aveolar ridge and I have a site for
cleft information and support.

My husband and I met 13 years ago and have been
married for 12. It was not love at first site. It was
actually more like tolerance at first site. We met on a
blind date, the only problem was we were other people's
dates. My beau at the time had brought Marty along as a
date for my friend. One year, a very scary first-time motor cycle ride, and 600 hours of phone calls
later we were engaged.
At the moment we live in Pennsylvania, in a brand new home, along with our
4 cats, Sammie, her kittens, Bootsie and Shadow, and Matilda.
I was born in Columbus, Georgia
and spent my summers in New York and South Carolina.
Someday we hope to move to Myrtle Beach, S.C.
I love the internet, but I have other interests too. Mostly crafts, scrapbooking, crocheting, embroidery, quilting and ceramics. I love to garden, and the best part is that my new house has a garden window, which I have already filled with herbs. That ties in with my other great love...cooking. Someday, when my children are grown, I hope to open a resteraunt.
