Hi. My ggrandmother's name was Melissa Ann SUTTON. She was born 2-21-1862 in Mason County,W.Va.. Her father's name was Levi SUTTON. He was born in 1825 somewhere in Ohio. His parents were born in Ireland. Melissa married Charles Washington Jenkins (born 4-3-1849,Mason Co.,W.Va.) They resided in Huntington,W.Va.. Can anyone tell me more?

My uncle is doing the research. He does not have e-mail. His name is Thomas Vernon Noe, 6430 Plainview, Detroit, MI 48228. My mother's maiden name was Mollie Noe. Vernon was born in Cinderella, W VA; my mother was born in Welch, W VA and married Louie Edward Barta in Williamson, W VA in 1934. They moved to Detroit, MI in 1936. (Their parents were Jacob Noe and Esta Bishop Noe -- they had 11 children in total.)

Nicholas Sedam was my great, great grandfather. His son Peter Sedam my great grandfather and his wife(#1) Rhoda Ann Miranda Mallett. Their daughter, Sarah Jane Sedam married Edward Elijah Castor, my grandfather. Their son Lewis Peter Castor was my father. At which time she gave birth to my mother - Lois Virginia Williams at Ohio Valley Medical Center. She gave up my mother when she was just a couple weeks old. My father, Jefferson Lore Campbell, Jr. was born in Philadelphia PA and I believe his father was from New Jersey. His family had a butcher shop in Pitman, New Jersey. I don't know very much about the family history, but I was told that we are known as "THE DIRTY CAMPBELLS". Apparently this is not something to be proud of, but it's the only information I have. A relative happen to see it and wrote to me, lo and behold she was Albert's granddaughter. Since your connection, my names have increased to almost 500 relatives. This is a great site!! I am tracing a SUTTON family from Co Wicklow, Ireland. They also spent time in Bray and Dublin. I believe some of the family emigrated to Canada, and I am very keen to make contact. Henry SUTTON was born c1795 to John SUTTON and Hannah Allan in Wicklow, Ire and married Mary Harris c1820. They had nine children and the entire family emigrated to Victoria, Aust in 1852. Children's names were Eliabeth, Hannah, Henry, Alicia, Anthony, E len, Isaac, John Williamson and Francis. They lived in Tx. 1875 where William Walter SUTTON b.7 Feb 1875, Ruth Lee SUTTON b.1876 They then moved to Ok.Indian territory where 9 other children were born; Luler, Daniel, Andrew Jackson, Maggie, Fanney, Edna, Lizzy, and Oscar Jefferson. Need parents or siblings of g-g-grandfather Willet SUTTON, b. 1790 in WestchesterCounty, N.Y., probably Town of Bedford or Town of New Castle. His children, listed on 1850 Census for Town of Bedford are: Stephen, 30, Walter, 28, Elizabeth, 26. Another daughter, Hannah, died in 1832 at 16. His wife, Amy Conklin, b. 1791, d. 1844. There were quite a few SUTTONs in Westchester County in the early 19th century, but it seems that most of those being sought now are in New Jersey or further south or west.
