        Hot Milk Cake

        2 cups flour-all purpose
        1 cup milk
        2 cups sugar
        1 teaspoon of vanilla
        2 teaspoons baking powder
        1 stick butter(sweet)
        3 eggs

        Heat milk and butter together in pan.
        Beat eggs and sugar until frothy or looks almost white.
        Add flour to egg and sugar mixture and add baking powder and vanilla. Beat in hot milk and butter.
        Grease pans and dust with flour. You can use tube pan or layer pan.
        Bake at 350 degrees for 25to 30 minutes or until knife inserted in middle comes out clean. Makes 2 9in layers.

        If baked in tube pan I like to pour strawberries over a slice. It's also great with a bittersweet chocolate icing. My oldest son likes it dusted with powdered sugar. This cake has the consistancy of pound cake but does not take as long to bake
