        Peppermint Pound Cake

        3 cups plain flour
        3 sticks of butter
        6 eggs
        1 cup milk
        1 tsp pure vanilla
        1/2 stick[large] peppermint candy ,crushed

        Combine butter and eggs until very soft, add flour and milk, ending with flour. Beat well. Add vanilla. Crush 1/2 stick of peppermint candy [a large stick].

        Divide the dough unto 3 sections Put crushed candy into one section In botton of tube pan ,which has been sprayed ,put 1/3 of the plain dough, then add the peppermint dough, then add the last 1/3 dough .Bake at 350 for about 80 minutes. Frost with white icing then sprinkle bits of candy over cake .My candy come from Bob's Candy Co in Albany,Ga ,which is the largest maker of peppermint candy in the world.
