I just made a breakthrough on my wife's Harvey ancestors this week, and I would like to add my information to your "queries" site and database, to see if we can link them up with other Harvey lines. The evidence now strongly suggests that this Harvey branch came from Ireland to the southeast (eastern Tennessee, probably by way of the Carolinas or Virginia) between 1785 and 1825. Two of the original immigrants were James and John W. Harvey, who probably
lived in Carter/Washington Co., Tenn. around 1826. The birthplaces of some of the children give the general path of their travels.

Curtis, Menard Co., IL>MO>IN>Douglas Co., IL
Some descendants of this line now live in Hindsboro, Douglas Co., IL. There are other Harveys in the area which are
believed to descend from a Pennsylvania branch.
