So like, who is Tomax?

My nickname is tomax. My real name is Tom McLaughlin... hense if you take my first and last name, squish them together, you will get "tomax". Well sort of...the "x" is so I'd save on cyber ink and speed up downloading times. Right...I also use small fonts to save on disk space eh...

And here I thought I had a unique internet handle with "tomax"...the ultimate *this is me*. One that ladies would swoon to and men would fear, and the one that I have been using for years on a local provider here in Calgary called Chatline. I was enjoying this fame all one day until...

...I suddenly found out there were others with the same name! One is a computer company in Utah called Tomax Technologies and then another is GI Joe guy, so *NOW* I'm going through an identity crisis...

Also "tomax" is reflective upon my ideas and sports ability. I go "to the max" on things, and sometimes forget to slow down or stop. Overkill sometimes used to be a trademark of my playing a sport...couldn't stop till I won. Now, I play to enjoy, and if I loose...it's no big deal.

I'm a Christian kinda guy, and intend on staying one. Religion to me is man trying to reach God, whereas true Christianity is God reaching us. Visit Hey God! for more information!

I like the simple things in life eh!

There's an old saying about stopping by the roadside of life and smelling the flowers. Yeah that's me. I like sometimes just to sit in the malls here and watch the world go by. It's like watching a movie. Other times, I can't sit still and like to go for drives, sports or putput around my place. I enjoy bike riding (mountain bike) and I'm fairly active in sports.

I graduated in 1995 from really great college (SAIT) here in Calgary in the Business Administration field, and just recently I have attained my Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE), Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT) designations. This adds to my "APlus" Hardware certification.

What else about me? I'm sorta conservative but sorta radical. I don't like going with the flow at times, so rebel sorta too. I'm generally shy, or quiet, but then again I like being the life of the party. People ask what sign I was born under, I usually tell them "The Maternity Ward".

I love to travel. My mom said I must have an itchy butt cuz I never sit still. Been to Europe 8 times, Isreal, Egypt, across Canada 4 times, down to the United States a few times (mostly Indiana where my bible school was), and to Hawaii. Great place.
