1999 NT 4.0 Teachers Assistant – Olds College, Olds, Alberta

Assisted in teaching and monitoring 18 students taking a Microsoft MCSE course, helped troubleshoot, problem solve and assist with labs. Applications include NT 4.0 Core, Essentials, TCP/IP, MIIS and A+ Hardware studies.

Uses HTML language and desktop publishing with Adobe 4 PhotoShop, MS Office 97 (PowerPoint and Word). Creative, improved, and award winning designs. Self employed while attaining evening courses for the Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer designation.

Maintained and controlled inventory using General Motors mainframe computer systems (DCS). Provided estimates for Auto Body shops. Conducted computer searches for location and availability of stock. Worked in shipping and receiving departments.

Learning to set up data bases, manipulate data, and make reports.

  • A licenced course requiring through knowledge in the financial fields of investing, and mutual funds. Contract writing skills attained. Studies included determining clients financial needs analysis, risk factor, and future goals for retirement. Asset management.

1995 Graduate – Business Management – SAIT, Calgary, Alberta - Diploma

  • A diploma course in developing strong business skills through practical applications. Courses included skills developed in the areas of problem solving, organizational structuring, negotiating skills and human resource management. Public Relation matters were learned. Proficient in AmiPro 3.0, MSWord 6.0-97, WordPerfect 5.1, Windows 3.11, Lotus 123r4, Access 2.0-97, Excel 4.0-97, PowerPoint 4.0-97, and DOS 6.22. Credit Management courses were taken at this time.

Volunteer Duties:

  • Volunteer work with youth groups (Streetlight), and church functions.
  • Drive a restored city bus for Streetlight, and have a "Q" (air brake) endorsement.
  • Worked with Calgary Police Services in the Community Radio Watch Program.
