after having an abortion. 20% reported having nervous breakdowns, with 10%
requiring hospitalization for psychiatric care.
61% of the women said that
the abortion had made their lives worse. 6% said that it improved their lives.
31%
said they felt "reconciled" with their action.

Sandra Cano, the plaintiff in Doe vs. Bolton, has renounced her role
in legalizing abortion. This was a companion case to Roe vs. Wade.
Cano was seeking a divorce from an abusive husband when an ACLU lawyer tricked
her into signing papers regarding abortion to file a court case. The case
resulted in an open-ended ruling that a woman could abort her child for any sort
of "health" reason, including emotional distress or discomfort (which
basically covers everything). Cano, who was horrified by Clinton's veto
upholding partial-birth abortions, stated:
"...I never wanted an
abortion. I cannot even kill a roach... God gives life, and God is the only one
who should take life... It's because of my name being used that as a plaintiff
in that suit that these babies are being killed."
Cano joins Norma
McCorvey (the "Roe" of Roe vs. Wade), Dr. Bernard Nathanson
(co-founder of the National Abortion Rights Action League and murderer of 30,000
children), and Carol Everett (abortionist and founder of a chain of abortion
franchises), in calling for an end to abortion and anti-life initiatives.

Ron Fitzsimmons, executive director of the National Coalition of Abortion
Providers, admitted he lied about the number of partial-birth abortions in the
3/3/97 issue of Medical News, the journal of the American Medical
Association. Fitzsimmons had insisted they were rare on the ABC show Nightline
in November 1995. "Fitzsimmons said he had lied because he feared the
truth would damage the cause of abortion rights..."
"When you're a
doctor who does these abortions and the leaders of your movement appear before
Congress and say these procedures are done in only the most tragic of
circumstances... it makes you feel like a dirty little abortionist with a dirty
little secret."
The article notes, per Doug Johnson of the National
Right to Life Committee, that the web site of the National Abortion Federation
was still lying about the procedure, claiming it is only done about 500
times/year.

Partial-Birth Abortions Rare," Detroit News, p. 3A, 2/27/97.

The IRS is preparing to auction the assets of Madalyn Murray O'Hair,
seized to satisfy a lien on unpaid personal taxes from 1980, 1986, 1987 and
1989. O'Hair and one son and an adopted daughter disappeared in September 1995,
along with $600,000 from atheist organizations she led. It is unknown whether
this was a simple act of theft, if O'Hair wanted to go into seclusion to die
with Christians praying for her, or even if they were the victims of foul play.

From the NRA Firearms Fact Card 1997:
-Imprisoned criminals serve 1/3 of their sentences, on average.
-Average
sentences (actual): Murder, 7.7 years; Rape, 4.6 years; Robbery, 3.3 years;
Aggravated Assault, 1.9 years.
-Each day approximately 14 murders, 48 rapes,
and 578 robberies are committed by convicted criminals on parole or early
release.
Federal government survey of 50,000 teens:
Illegal drug use rose in
1996, part of steady growth since 1990. Marijuana is accounting for much of the
increase.
For 8th graders: 11% (1991) to 24% (1996)
For 10th graders:
20% (1991) to 38% (1996)
For 12th graders: 27% (1991) to 40% (1996)
From
the Center on Addiction and Substance Abuse at Columbia University:
Admitted
drug use among 12-17 year olds rose from 5.3% to 10.9% from 1992-96.
From an
AP Survey, July/August 1996:
Teens who know their parents use marijuana are
at higher risk for drug use. 65% of parents who have used marijuana believe
their children will use drugs. Only 58% of those parents view it as a crisis.
For parents who never used marijuana, only 29% believe their children will try
drugs, and 83% said they would be alarmed.
From USA Today articles:
Heroin

50% of new marriages end in divorce in America.
70% of black children
are born out of wedlock.
20% of divorces now occur in marriages of over 15
years.
Birthrates in America are below the level needed to maintain a flat
population, and have been for two decades.
Correlations: children from
broken homes (without two parents at home) are more likely to: use drugs, commit
adultery/fornication, commit suicide, engage in violent crimes, have children
out of wedlock, and get divorced themselves.
As Family in America (FIA)
suggests, totalitarian government actions in this arena (handing out condoms in
schools, giving tax advantages for mothers who use day care but not for those
who care for their children themselves, and attempting to replace fathers with
handouts, etc.) are designed to make things worse and increase the dependence of
the population upon government controlled apparatchiks.

3.7 million households composed of couples living out of wedlock in (c. 1996?), up 85% "over the past decade," and up 700% since 1970. JAFA, 2/97, p. 8.
From the NRA Firearms Fact Card 1997:
-There are around 230 million guns in the U.S., including 70-80 million
handguns.
-There are 60-65 million gun owners in the U.S.; 30-35 million own
handguns.
-11% of firearms owners have used their guns in self-defense,
including 13% of handgun owners.
-Criminal gun use involves 0.2% of firearms
per year.
-31 states now have right-to-carry laws permitting law-abiding
citizens to carry concealed firearms for self-protection.
-11 of those
states passed their laws within the last 2 years.
-From a study by Univ. of
Chicago professor John Lott, if states without concealed carry laws had them
since 1992, approximately 1,570 murders, 4,177 rapes and over 60,000 aggravated
assaults would have been prevented. Allowing concealed carry has prevented an
economic loss of $6.2 billion [EJB - about $24/person in the U.S.]
-States
with right-to-carry laws have lower crime rates than those without. Total
violent crime is 18% lower. Homicide 21% lower; robbery 32% lower; aggravated
assault 11% lower. Since Florida adopted right-to-carry in 1987 homicide rates
are down 36%, firearm homicides down 37% and handgun homicides down 41%; the
national change in this period was down .4% for homicides, with a 15% increase
in firearms homicides and 24% increase in handgun homicides. Less than .02% of
Florida licenses have been revoked due to firearm crimes by licensees.
-Research
by criminologist Gary Kleck indicates firearms are used to deter crime 2.5
million times/year, four times the number of violent crimes committed with
firearms. In about .1% of such instances the criminal is killed, in 1% the
criminal is wounded. Most instances result in no shots fired.
-84% of
Americans believe citizens are guaranteed the right to keep and bear arms under
the Constitution. [Someone loan a copy of the Constitution to the other 16%!]
-75%
favor allowing law-abiding to carry firearms for personal protection outside
their homes.
-53% favor an instant check of criminal records when purchasing
a gun over the Brady 5-day waiting period. Only 34% believe the Brady Act is
working.
-Fatal firearm accident rates are now at an all-time low, .5 per
100,000 population, down 85% since 1904. By comparison: motor vehicle
fatalities (16.7), falls (4.8), poisoning (4.0), drowning (1.7), fires (1.6) and
choking on an ingested object (1.1). This represents about 1,400 incidents a
year, less than half the 1930 number, despite a doubling of population and
quadrupling of guns.
-Washington, D.C. virtually banned guns in 1976. Their
homicide rate tripled by 1991; the U.S. rate rose 12% in the same period.
California imposed a 15-day wait in 1975 and banned "assault weapons"
in 1989, and now has homide and violent crime rates 43% and 50% higher than the
rest of the nation, respectively.

"Kangudi said he witnessed one of [Colonel] Yugo's atrocities. On
March 8, he was driving toward the airport 12 miles out of town when he came on
a military roadblock operated by white mercenaries. Yugo was there, he said,
and asked two Protestant ministers to get out of their car.
The colonel
accused the ministers of being spies because they did not have identity cards,
Kangudi said. The two objected that they were religious leaders and held out
their worn Bibles as if to prove it. Yugo shot them in the chest with a
revolver, Kangudi said.
It is impossible to confirm the accuracy of the
stories circulating about Yugo. But missionaries and local hospital authorities
said he killed at least eight people in the city [Kisangani], including two
pastors, a local alderman and five young boys in a market.
"It's no
secret that he's killed a lot of people personally," said Gerald Selenke, a
Catholic missionary. "He's evidently a very deranged individual."
... Mwanatambwe, a beef importer from Goma, said he was arrested by the
mercenaries in the middle of the night... No one ever gave an explanation for
their detention, but later they learned that the mercenaries had accused them of
spying for the rebels, he said.
Over the next few weeks, Mwanatambwe and his
friends were interrogated, tortured and repeatedly threatened with death if they
would not admit to being rebel supporters, he said.
Yugo took several of the
men out of the cell and tortured them, tying them to chairs in front of a car's
headlights and electrocuting them with leads from a generator.
The prisoners
were also beaten and slashed with bayonets, he said. Sometimes Yugo would fire
close to their heads, giving them graze wounds. During one four-day period,
they were given no food or water and nearly died of dehydration, Mwanatambwe
said.
"He told me, 'I don't want to do you any harm if you admit the
others are rebels,'" Mwanatambwe said. "I told him, 'I'm a Christian.
I can't lie. I can't condemn the others to death by telling a lie.' He said,
'Since you won't go along with us, you are going to die, too.'"

In November 1997 voters in the state of Hawaii voted to call for a constitutional convention to decide the issue of homosexual "marriage." Fearing this would result in a ban on such a practice, the ACLU and Hawaii Supreme Court arbitrarily declared that any ballot that left this question blank was automatically a "no" vote. In other words, if you were indifferent or mistakenly missed it or were unsure of what it was asking for and left it blank, the court declared you were against the convention. Thus another precedent/rationalization has been invented by which the Imperial Judiciary can eliminate the will of the people by simple fiat.
