Notes for Richard Pitts SMOTHERMON

Richard Pitts is found in the 1850 Calloway Co. KY census as a 14 yr. old boy
living with his mother, Mary D. Moore Smothermon. They are listed as family
included Sarah E., 12 yrs. old at that time. Sarah E. and Richard P. would
marry seven years after the 1850 census. Richard P. was a good marksman.
He ran a country store and donated the land for the old Smothermon School.
