Notes for Marcus SMOTHERMON
It has not been proven conclusively that Marcus is the son of John Green
Smotherman and Nancy Williams. Additional documentation is needed for this.
Marcus apparently came to KY after the birth of his fifth child, John N., in
TN on 12-MAY-1841. He bought his first 160 acres of land in Calloway Co. KY,
on Jan. 20, 1842.
