Notes for George T. SMOTHERMON

It is believed that George T. Smothermon was killed in the Civil War, but
this is unconfirmed. In the "History of the 3rd, 7th, 8th, and 12th KY",
Co. H lists three Smotherman's: G.S. Smotherman (3rd corp), J.G. Smotherman
and J.H. Smothereen.
Another source: CSA, 3rd KY Mtd. Infantry Reg, Co.H. Enlisted 19-Aug-1861,
joined 1-Aug-1861, Camp Boone.
