Notes for William M. SMOTHERMAN

According to Bob Smitherman (letter to Eugene Smothermon, undated), William
M. Smotherman and Nancy Jane Smotherman lived in Calloway Co, KY for a while
and then moved on to Missouri. However, Eugene Smothermon thinks William M.
Smotherman is buried close to the "old Smothermon homeplace" near Hazel, KY.
William M. probably moved to KY around 1849, because he appeared on the 1849
Calloway Co., KY tax list. However, the family was listed on the 1850 Ruth-
erford Co. TN census.
