Sweet Spiced Nuts
-----------------

Makes: 2 c. nuts

1 c. sugar
1 t. salt
2 T. powdered cinnamon
1 t. powdered ginger
1 t. powdered cloves
1/2 t. powdered nutmeg
1 T. water
1 egg white
1 c. whole nuts, such as peanuts, cashews, or almonds
(I prefer to use almonds or cashews for this mixture)

Preheat oven to 250 degrees Fahrenheit. Cover a cookie sheet
or jellyroll pan with cooking parchment.

Using a coarse strainer sift sugar, salt and spices together 3
times. Beat together water and egg white. Dip nuts into egg
white mixture. Coat in sugar and spice mixture.

Spread nuts evenly on cookie sheet, making sure they don't
touch. Bake 1-1/2 to 2 hours. Remove from oven and allow to
cool on cookie sheet. Shake excess sugar from nuts.

Store in an airtight container.
