2 lb. ground beef
1 medium onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
1 can (7 1/2 oz.) tomato sauce
2 cups frozen green beans
1/2 tsp. each salt, pepper, oregano
4 - 5 medium potatoes, peeled and cooked
1/2 cup milk
1 egg, lightly beaten
Brown ground beef in a large skillet; drain off excess fat. Add onion
and garlic and cook until onion is softened. Stir in tomato sauce, green
beans and seasonings. Place in bottom of casserole. mash potatoes and add
milk, egg and salt and pepper to taste. Whip until smooth. Spread potatoes
evenly over meat mixture.
Bake, uncovered at 400 for 30 - 40 minutes or until potatoes are golden.
