The Genealogical Society of Southwestern Pennsylvania - not much here but an address! I keep the link HOPING something will happen.
The Western Pennsylvania Genealogical Society - covers the entire state west of the Alleghenies.
The National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution - it's not a genealogical society, but there's lot of good info here.

U. S. National Archives and Records Administration - visit the true professionals of record keeping!
Ohio Death Certificate Index - a prototype, searchable database listing 90% of Ohio Death Certificates issued for the years 1913-1937. This is how we hope information will be made available in the future!
The Illinois Database of Public Land Sales - an on-line database of public land sales during the 19th century. Enter your favorite surname and see if your missing link bought swampland in IL! If your relative was a land speculator, be prepared for lots of info.
