Here's the happy ending story of Baby: ![]() Dear TLC, I have a Happy Ending to share with you. I was married in June of '92. My husband brought me to your shelter a couple days later to show me where his Mom adopted his dog Sam. While looking around, I spotted a lone puppy bundled up in the corner of a cage in the cat room. She was the very last of a litter abondoned. She was no bigger than a rat! I took one look at her and fell in love. We came in without our checkbook and I stayed with her while my husband ran to get money to adopt her. I just wanted to thank you for being there at the time I really needed her in my life, especially having lost a child... she was a truely perfect gift to me. Baby spent 11 wonderful years with us. Each of our children got to know her. 11 years... the night of our 11th anniversary in fact, Baby passed away. She suffered a massive heart attack as we all gathered around and held on to her for her last minutes with us. She left me as dramatically as she came into my life, but was determined to stay with me until we hit 11 years. Your shelter is a wonderful place, and it touches more lives then you will ever know. Baby was loved, and I thought you would like to hear her story. She went from an unwanted baby left to die on the road to a member of a family who loved her with all their hearts. Thank you again...
