Here's the happy ending story of Bear (formerly Blair):
My family & I adopted Bear (formerly Blair) about 2
years ago. I stopped in at TLC in hopes of adopting
another dog. When I arrived I found out that she had
already been adopted.
I looked around and decided that I would return
another day. As I was walking out the door, a lady was
walking in with Bear. It turns out that her daughter
had adopted Bear and then decided that she did not
want him. Talk about Fate. I instantly fell in love
with him and decided to take him home.
After a few days at home we realized that Bear had
trust issues & he liked to jump fences. So, I enrolled
him in obedience classes and he even went for a stay
at Doggie Boot Camp. It took about a year for Bear to
realize that this is home forever and that we were not
going to give up on him.
It was a struggle, but we made it through. Bear is now
a well adjusted, happy member of the family. A family
that includes 3 children (all girls) and 2 cats (both
girls). I have to say that he puts up with a lot, from
being dressed up to being chased by the cats! Bear is
an exceptional dog with a sweet personality.
Thank you TLC for completing our family!
With much love & thanks,
The Valdez Family
