Here's the happy ending story of Buddy:
We adopted Buddy from your shelter on August 26th, 2000. That morning we were looking at your website and fell in love with the dogs. While on your website we were laughing at this dog's long tongue.
With looking around your shelter, all your dogs were mostly all big dogs. Living in an apartment I thought a smaller dog would be better, but then we saw Buddy, who seemed so lovable and playful but sad. We took Buddy outside and walked and played with him for about one hour. Still concerned about such a large dog for an apartment we decided to think it over. Well, driving home we talked and talked, and half way home we stopped, we called TLC thinking they would be closed, and we asked if it was too late to adopt Buddy the mixed black lab. They asked how far we were. They stayed open for us, and we adopted Buddy.
We took Buddy to the pet store and bought him a bone, leash, collar, bowls, food, etc... After taking Buddy to his new home, we called our families and told them we just adopted a dog. After meeting Buddy, just like us they fell in love with him. Buddy is lovable, very well behaved, loves to go to the park and Grandma's with a yard to play catch and especially frisbee. He loves to go for walks. We're very happy we adopted Buddy. Thanks TLC for everything.
By the way, after going home and thinking about what dog was what, we realized that the dog with the long tongue on the website was our dog Buddy. We were laughing then.
