Here's the happy ending story of Maggie: ![]() We love the new addition to our family. Maggie is not only beautiful, but a joy to have around the house. She is playful, curious, stubborn at times, loving, silly and most of all a very tender and caring dog. A few months before adopting Maggie we had adopted our dog Kylie (a 2 year old Shepherd /Sheba mix) from another animal shelter. Kylie was a wonderful companion dog to have but she was not very playful and was a bit of a quiet and serious dog even though she loves to give kisses. We had thought of getting another dog not only for companionship for us but for our dog Kylie also but were not too sure. ![]() We brought Maggie home and soon after that learning from Maggie how to be more playful. Maggie loves to run around our backyard and go for car rides. She loves to start wrestling matches with (Her smaller big sister) Kylie over Kylie's bandana collar. Maggie will be out in the back yard wrestling Kylie to try to take her bandana collar off and if she cannot get it off she will run around and then run over and tattle Kylie. Maggie's favorite games are playing trying to catch the water out of the hose and trying to catch bubbles my husband bought for her to play with, her after he saw how much she loved to chase insects that fly. And when it comes time to go potty she will not only tell us if she has to go, but when she does not have to go she will tell us when Kylie has to go and vise versa. ![]() During the day while Maggie and Kylie are indoors we keep the front door open but with the storm door shut and Maggie will bark at anything and everything and everybody that walks down the street in front of our house or is in our yard just to let them know that that is her area, but she would not hurt a fly (even though she loves to try to catch them). And if she cannot go out to the thing or person that is out side she starts to cry (She's our BIG baby). She just likes making new friends, that's all. (We've come to find out.) She thinks everyone wants to be her friend. ![]() We would like to thank you TLC for contacting us the day Maggie came into your shelter and giving her a chance to be with our family. We would not change her for the world. Your shelter is the best one that I've known. And your staff is a group of wonderful, helpful, caring and understanding people. Thank you, Mike and Jenny Doll and family ![]() |
