Here's the happy ending story of Oliver (formerly Moby):

We adopted Oliver in the middle of August 2007. When we first saw him, he was so well-behaved and just loved attention from people, despite the fact that he had just had his second heartworm treatment the day before.

We walked him around the shelter, where he sniffed everything and said hi to everyone. The first week was a bit rough because he was getting used to a new place, finishing up his medicine and absolutely can't stand thunderstorms. But after we got through that week, he has been nothing but great. Probably his two favorite things to do are take walks and meet new people. He usually couldn't care less about other animals, and that's been good because he and our cat, Hayley co-exist peacefully.

Although Oliver wasn't completely housebroken when we got him, he is almost there. In addition, he learns very quickly and loves to please so we have been able to teach him to sit and are working on "lay" now.

He got his first grooming last week and looks like a whole new dog. Also, because he loves to walk so much, we have a dogwalker come and take him out in the afternoons. Otherwise, he is doing well - he had his first checkup at the vet last week and everything is great. He's gotten to know many dogs and new faces in the neighborhood, and taken several trips to pet stores in the area.

Thank you so much for letting us adopt him!
