WANTED: Great pictures of your pets for TLC's Pet Photo Contest! 12 winners will be chosen by you to star in the 2010 TLC Favorite Pets Calendar.
Don't miss out! Enter your favorite pet photo in our photo contest to benefit TLC Animal Shelter. The winners will be featured in the 2010 TLC Favorite Pets Calendar. Each winning entry will receive a calendar and a certificate suitable for framing. The top 3 entries will receive a special prize.
Send an original photo of your pet with a $10 entry fee and entry form by September 13, 2009 to TLC Animal Shelter Photo Contest, 13016 West 151st Street, Homer Glen IL 60491. You may submit a high resolution digital image if you would like, to webmistress. The entry fee may be mailed or sent through PayPal. You may enter as many times as you like, but each entry must be accompanied by a $10 entry fee and a separate entry form.
AND A SPECIAL OFFER: If you would like to purchase items with your photo(s) on them, we can create them and place them in our store. The items would be available for anyone to purchase, and we would put the TLC logo somewhere on the item along with your photo (if it fits). You can request this on the entry form. If you have never visited the TLC store, you can visit it by going to the TLC main page at www.tlcanimalshelter.org, scroll down and in the right column there is a link to the store, titled cafepress.com.
Photos will be judged by popular vote online and at the shelter, from September 15 through October 15. We request a minimum $1 donation per vote. More information on voting will be posted in August. Winners will be announced on October 31.
The calendar will feature the top 12 vote getters in our photo contest, and a whole lot more! Each month will have a large winning photo, and many small photos, so every photo submitted will appear on the calendar.
Rules:
* The top 12 winning pets in the 2009 calendar are disqualified from winning, but photos may be entered to appear on the calendar. Winners from prior years are once again eligible to win.
* No professional photos may be entered.
* Photos may be color or black & white, no larger than 8" x 10".
* Photos must feature at least one pet (or other animal) and be the camera work of the entrant or entrant's family.
* Photos will not be returned and become the property of TLC Animal Shelter, and may be used in TLC fund raising projects, literature and advertising.
* TLC reserves the right to reject any photo it considers inappropriate.
* Electronic images must be e-mailed as a 300 dpi .jpeg file attachment no more than 1 mb in size. The entry form must be included as text body.
* Employees and family members of employees of TLC are not eligible to win, but they may enter photos to appear on the calendar.
* At the conclusion of the voting period, if there is more than one photo of the same pet in the top 12, only the highest vote getting photo will win.
Prizes:
* 12 winners will win a free 2010 TLC Favorite Pets Calendar featuring their winning photo, plus a certificate suitable for framing.
* The top 3 winners will also get a special surprize gift!
Timeline:
Deadline for contest entries is September 13, 2009.
Online and in-person voting is from September 15 through October 15, 2009.
Winners will be announced online October 31, 2009.
Calendars will be available for purchase at TLC's Christmas Craft Show in November
