~ Now ~
Well our little animal kingdom that you will read about below is gone. I am keeping
the story of them up so my sons can enjoy re-reading about them as they wish. With
divorce comes changes and this is one of the parts in my sons and mine life that these
changes affected. I left my eldest baby (Thea) with my ex (her daddy =), because I
felt the move to California would have been bad for her *tears* but I feel I made
the right choice as she loves my ex alot. But the kids and I miss her ALOT!!!!
The fishes all past away and as they died, we didn't replace them. After all
moving fishes 3000 miles in a truck would have been a mess. If the boys decide now
they want more fishys though, I'm all for it =)
Tiger, our stray we had to let back out into the wild. We didn't want to but she went
wacky and started biting everyone and hurting the newest kitten =( I hope she is well.
Jake, my ex got rid of I hope someone adopted him and he found a good home.
The little lassie doggie, went to my stepdaughter.
Now Sissy, awwwwwwwww our sweet little Sissy we brought the 3000 miles with us. Matt
would have died without her. Although she almost didn't make it here. She got into
a hole under the sink in the 1st hotel we stayed in and crawled under the floor board.
Kids and me in tears finally got her out about 6 hours later. Needless to say
we checked the hotel rooms more better before we let her loose in each again.
She liked the Colorado Rockie Mountains =) The resort we stayed in there was beautiful.
Sissy likes the snow, just like the boys and I do. But here in CA. snows just not
gonna happen *LOL* HOWEVER, we can drive up up up into the mountains which we
WILL do =) Anyway, Sissy is happy in her new home here in CA. If you visit our
family photo album, you see just how happy =)
~ The Past ~
Being the Mommy of two little boys who are just crazy over pets we are now the
proud family to 3 cats, 2 dogs and 2 fish tanks full of happy little fish!!
Our oldest cat "Thea" who I got from a friend while I was pregnant with my
oldest son Mike, is a fat tiger looking 12 year old.
Next came "Jake" our 7 year old half Wolf half German Shepard
that we also got
from a friend for my 7 year son Matt when he was a baby.
When we moved into our house 2 years ago my son Matt decided that he was in
charge of all stray animals and he brought home everything. Luckily that all
belonged to our neighbors and went home. All but one cat who never left
and made herself at home. Matt named her Tiger.
For Matts 7th Birthday I wanted something that he could love
and play with but
I did not want to buy another toy for him
to lose in the lost world
also known as Matt's room, so in
came a Mickey Mouse fish tank with two
happy little gold
fish.
The next 2 I bought before Christmas this year while at
the pet store for pet supplies and well, they just gave me
that sad little take me home look, so I did.
The first one was a black and white runt of the litter kitty
who fit in the palm of my hand. Boy does this kitty have
wide eyes. This one took to my son Matt and now she
thinks
that she is dog and follows him everywhere.
We named her
Sissy.
The second one is a little Lassie if I ever saw one. She
will always remain small and as cute as a button, so we
named her Buttons.
Well as any Mommy who has more then one child knows,
that
when one of them has the something the other one
will just
die if they don't have one to, so in
came fish tank #2
for Mike.
Needless to say, even with all the running around going
on in our house, it's still a calm and fun place to be.
I really think we need to buy a farm if this goes on, don't
you? On the good side I know that I have 2 loving little
boys cause they love each and every pet they have.
