Will Butler, died at the home of Mrs. Harmison, Tuesday Oct 31st, an
d was
buried from the Harmison home Thursday, Nov 2d, at 2:30 p.m.
William Ezra Butler was born at Markesan, Wisconsin, Jan.4, 1855
. He came
to Barton Co.,Kans. in the fall of 1878.
He was married May 5, 1889, to Hattie Harmison. He resided in G
reat Bend
untio the spring of 1902, when, with his family he removed to Beave
r Co.,O.T.
Here he fought the hard fight of the pioneer, maintaining the integri
ty and
honor that characterized his whole life. His predominating trait o
f character
was strictest honesty, and his religious creed the practise of the Go
lden Rule.
He leaves a wife and seven children. He was a member of th M.W.A., h
aving
transfered his membership from Great Bend to Madison,O.T. One brothe
r, Ovid,
resides here, and to him and all the bereaved ones is extended the de
ep
sympathy of the community.
