Will of John Jones

In the Name of God Amen State of South Caroline Spartanburgh District.
This 22nd Day of March 1812 and in the 36:37th of American Independancy
I John Jones being in Perfect health and Sound of Memory
Thank God fir his Mercies.  
I do, make and Ordain this My Last Will and Testament
First of all I Recommend My Soul to god Who Gave it to me
and my body I resign to the Earth from whence it came to be
Buried at the Descration of My Executors, Nothing Doubting
But I shall Receive it again at the Last day by the power of
Almighty god and as Touching Such Wordly Estate, as god has
blefsed me with I give devise and Defpose of In Manner
following

ITEM-first of all that my Just Debts be paid
ITEM It is my Will and desire that My Son Samuel Jones
have all that part of my Land that Lays on the South Side
of the branch That runs through My Land Commonly Called 
the Reedy fork of Abner's Creek and it is my Will and 
Desire that my Son Matthew Jones have all that part of 
My land laying on the North Side of the Afforementioned
Branch and My  Sons to Injoy the same for Ever.  
Nevethelefs My Wife May Live on the Same Land During Life 
or widdowhood and have Liberty of Supporting her Self and
her Daughter Patsy.  
ITEM I give unto My Daughter patsy Thomas Jones one Cow
and Calf and the two beds and furniture to be Patsey 
Thomas Jones.  Wheels and Cards and all Drefsar furniture
all which property My Wife keep in her hands Until patsey 
is able to take Care of them or to be take Care of by 
My Sons Samuel and Matthew.  
ITEM It is My Desire that My son Matthew Jones have My 
large pot and Drefsar As to My stock of all kinds to be
Equally Devided Between Samuel and Mattew Except Such as 
My Wife and Child May Stand in Need of for a support and 
it is My Will and Desire.  That My Sons Samuel & Matthew 
give to the Rest of My Children Anne Harris, Eliner Jones,
William Jones, Marjory Jones, Jane Mayfield One half Dollar
in trade and Lastley My will and Desire that Mathey have 
My plantation Instruments and that My Son Samuel and 
Mathew be Executors of this my Last Will and Testament
Disannuling all others In Witnefs Whereof I do set My 
hand and Seal the day and date above Written

Signed Seald and pronouced by the Sd John Jones to be 
his Last Will and Teftsment
