Blessing of the Tear
Oh Lord can you hear me, know what I’ve been feeling?
I’ve done something terrible and now I seek Your healing
How can You forgive me? I live in so much shame
One of Your innocents was born without a name
As my own judge and jury, I find no peace while here
Handcuffed to the memories, held by every tear
The state won’t convict me, because it’s legal in this place
I’m waiting here for judgment and now I rest my case
Then softly the Lord reached out, and gently touched my face
He blessed my tears with hope, and wrapped me in His Grace
Your tears tell of your sorrow, your heart cries out in pain
No child of Mine forgotten, I have called you each by name
Forgive yourself my child, as I have forgiven you today
There are no tears in Heaven and each child is My bouquet
I felt peace and His forgiveness, and no longer did I fear
The Lord wrapped me in His love, and blessed my every tear
