Mrs. Elizabeth M. ROLLET, 72 of 910 S. Twelfth St., died at
noon yesterday at her residence after a illness of two years. Mrs.
ROLLET had been owner and operator of the Rollet Cafe, 1017 E.
Capital Street for 38 years. She was born Sept. 27, 1878, at Celt,
MO. One June 16, 1900, she was married to Anton ROLLET at
Sacred Heart Church by Rev. Charles Krekenberger. Mr. Rollet died
April 6, 1926. A son Ray ROLLET died June 16, 1950. Surviving
are one daughter, Mrs. Esther HUNT; one Grandson Robert
HUNT; one granddaughter Miss Evelyn ROLLET, all of this
city; three brothers Lawrence and Joseph SCHWEISS, both of
this city, and Frank SCHWEISS of Peoria; three sisters Mrs.
Josephine MACKLE, Mrs. Sophie HALEY, both of this city,
and Mrs.MB SHAW of South Bend Ind. She was a member of the
Sacred Heart Altar and Rosary Society and St. Anne Court 261, W.C.O.F
. Funeral Services will be held at 9 a.m. Monday at the Sacred Heart
Church. Rev. John Brockmeier will officiate and burial will be in the
Calvary Cemetery. Remains are at the Kerlin & Egan Funeral Home
where friends may call from 4 to 10 p.m today and until 10p.m.
tomorrow.

Journal
Joseph ROTH, 84, of Springfield died at 11:05 Pm, Sunday at
Memorial Medical Center. A Resident of Springfield since 1905, Mr.
ROTH was born on July 18, 1903 in Hungary, The son of the late
John and Mary KUNGEL ROTH. He married Theresa VOLK in
1929, and she died in 1972. Also proceeding him in death were one
brother, John; and two sisters, Catherine GALMAN and Vero
BELO. Mr. ROTH was a machinist at Allis Chalmers
Manufacturing Company for 24 years before his retirement in 1967.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Roy (Betty) TOMLINSON,
Marilyn STEINMACHER and Joann HAMPTON, all of
Springfield; one son Joseph ROTH of Fresno Calf; seven
Grandchildren; five great grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Mary
HOMBURG, Mrs. Anna McLAUGHLIN and Mrs. Agnes
STASULINAS , all of Springfield, and Mrs. Frank (Dorothy)
MAKARAUSKAS of Lansing, Mich ; one brother Frank of Fresno
Calf.; several nieces and nephews and cousins. Services will be at 10
AM Wednesday at Staab Funeral Home , with Rev. Stanley Milewski
officiating Burial will be at Oak Ridge Cemetery

Henry H. ROTH 63, of 2021 S. Renfro Street died at 3:30 Pm
Yesterday at Veterans Hospital in Dwight.
Mr ROTH was born July 7, 1895 in Webster City, Iowa since
retiring 5 years ago from the Beacon Transfer Company he resided with
his sister, Mrs Mary Anna RUYLE in Springfield. In addition to
Mrs.RUYLE, he is survived by another sister Mrs. Mary
ROOK, Chilly, Idaho and several nieces and nephews. The body
is at the Kirlin & Edan Funeral Home.

ROTH- Died Monday, January 14 at 11:30AM at the family
residence 1219 South Twelfth Street, Henry ROTH Jr. aged 25
years, 3months, and 14days. The deceased was a machinist and was
employed by the Wabash Shops. He was born in Germany. The Funeral
will be conducted by Rev. William Schueltzke at St. John's German
Lutheran Church tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock.

SCHWEISS- The remains of Henry M. SCHWEISS, formerly
of Springfield ,recently of Decatur who was killed by a Wabash
passenger train at Decatur 6:45 a.m. yesterday October 10, 1917 will
be brought here tomorrow to the home of his parents Mr. and Mrs.
Henry SCHWEISS, 1629 South Grand Avenue. Arrangments for the
funeral will be announced later.

Joseph B. SCHWEISS, 89, of 631 N. 6th Street, a retired
coal miner, died at 1:25 a.m. Monday at the Ramshaw nursing home. He
was born at St. Genevieve, Mo., the son of Henry and Sopie HENN
SCHWEISS. He was a member of the Sacred Heart Church and UMW of a
Local 764. Surviving are several nieces and nephews. Services will be
at 10 a.m Wednesday at Sacred Heart Church. Rev. Stanely Milewiski
will officiate and burial will be in Calvary Cemetary. Staab Funeral
Home is in Charge of the arrangments.
