James Airth

James AIRTH was born Sep 18 1865 in Renfrew Township, Renfrew, Ontario
the son of James AIRTH from his alliance with Jane McINTYRE
shortly before he married Ophielia Angelina WRIGHT on Mar 27 1865.

Because of the circumstances of his birth,
James was brought into the home of his grandparents,
Sgt Henry AIRTH & Marion PARK in 1865.

After their deaths in 1870, he was raised by his uncle and aunt,
David AIRTH & Margaret McLaren BEAUCHAMP.

Here he grew up virtually as a brother to their children:
Margaret, Marion, Agnes and Robert.

His cousin Robert AIRTH died on Apr 24 1889,
leaving his young widow Rebecca Forrester BLAIR with 4 young children:

married Mary Teresa DOLAN on Aug 14 1912 (2 children)
David died Jul 10 1957 in San Francisco but is buried in Edmonton Alberta.

2) Elizabeth born Jan 31st 1883
married James Copford BARKER on Jul 3 1907 (5 children)
(James was the son of William BARKER & Annie COXFORD)

Margaret born Feb 5 1885
died Apr 29 1885

3) Agnes born Oct 8 1887
married William Basil SCOTT on Apr 11 1906 (7 children)
(William was the son of John SCOTT & Isabella JAMIESON)

4) William Blair born Oct 31st 1888
married 1st to Edna KILLIPS in 1925 (divorced) (1 child)

married 2nd to Marion Alma PARKHILL on Oct 24 1930 (2 children)
(Marion was the daughter of
Herbert John PARKHILL & Winifred Constance Irene Olivia POWELL)
William died Dec 24 1944 and is buried in Edmonton Alberta.

They had a family of 5 children:

married Edith Viola BROWN on Dec 7 1921 (3 children)
(Edith was the daughter of Frederick Austin BROWN & Mary Edith ATCHISON
who had moved to Edmonton from North Dakota)
Harry died Jun 5 1953.

2) Marion Alice (Alice) born Feb 9 1895
married Ernest Charles EASTERBROOK on Jun 15 1914 (1 child)
Alice died Jun 6 1989.

3) Robert Campbell born Jul 20 1897
married Lillian Lorella ESSIG on Oct 22 1922 (1 child)
Robert died Dec 19 1972.

4) Catherine Isabella (Kate) born Sep 22 1899
married Jacob SCHULER on Nov 24 1921 (4 children)
Kate died Dec 5 1985.

5) Douglas Forrester born Aug 24 1901
married Janet Elizabeth BARR on Jul 9 1926 (3 children)
(Janet was the daughter of David BARR & Isabel Muirhead ADDIE)
Douglas died Sep 28 1991.

James & Rebecca were in Gilpin Alberta as of 1914
when son Harry enlisted for the Canadian Expeditionary Forces.

As of 1918, they were in Viking Alberta,
where James AIRTH died on Dec 19 1919.

Rebecca Forrester BLAIR died 30 years later on Jun 8 1950 in Edmonton Alberta.
