Jean Airth Ferguson



Jean AIRTH was born May 19 1832 in Lanark Scotland,
the 5th child of James AIRTH & Jean McNAUGHT.

Her mother died when Jean was relatively young.

Jean married William FERGUSON
on Dec 31 1850
in Glasgow Lanark Scotland.


It is not known at this time how long Jean and William remained in Scotland
after their marriage
or
whether they had any children born in Scotland.

It is known that they had 5 children, all born in Manchester Lancashire England:

2) Kate born abt 1867
married Summer 1897 to Henry HOCKENHULL in Chorlton Lancashire
(Henry was born abt 1863 in Chester, Cheshire)

3) Louisa born abt 1872
married Summer 1897 to Edward SHAW in Chorlton Lancashire
(Edward was born abt 1872 in Manchester)

4) Henry born abt 1874
seems to have died between 1881 Census and 1901 Census

5) Edwin Airth born abt 1877
married Jan-Mar 1899 to Clara Rosetta SPELMAN in Chorlton
(Clara was born 1880 in Whinburgh, Norfolk, England,
the daughter of Walter & Jane SPELMAN)
