Last Will & Testament of Henry Airth
1786 - 1870



This Instrument Witnesseth:

That I, Henry AIRTH Senior,
of the Village of Renfrew and County of Renfrew of the Province of Canada
being of sound and disposing mind -- memory -- and understanding
do make, publish and declare this to be my last will and testament
hereby revoking and making null and void all former last wills and testaments
and writing in the nature of last will and testaments by me heretofore made.

My will is first that my funeral charges and just debts shall be paid
by my executor hereinafter named.


Second, I bequeath to my beloved wife Marion Park Airth,
all my personal property of every description
to have and to hold the same for and during her natural life at her decease.

I give and bequeath to my son David,
my landed property and building thereon with the stock
being Lot number 9 in the 2nd Concession
of the township of Horton and within the corporation of the Village of Renfrew
to have and to hold the same to him and to his heirs, executors --
administrators and assigns to his and their use -- and behalf forever.
(This son, David AIRTH is my GR GR grandfather)


I give and bequeath to my son, Henry,
my family Bible.


I give and bequeath to my son William, my silver watch chain and key
and a dining room sideboard.

I give and bequeath to my son James my mahogany writing desk.

And I do nominate and appoint my said son James Airth
to be the sole executor of this my last will and testament.

In Testimony whereof, I the said Henry Airth Senior,
have hereunto subscribed my name and affixed my seal
this second day of May in the year of our Lord
One Thousand Eight Hundred and Fifty Nine.

Who at his request and in his presence have subscribed their names
as witnesses hereto in the presence of each other.
